About this product

From The Living Seed Company's product listing:

Organic Open-Pollinated Non-GMO Laxton's Progress #9 Pea Seeds A beloved dwarf shelling pea that requires no staking, this heirloom variety traces its roots back to 19th-century English plant breeder Thomas Laxton. Bred to be wilt-resistant and sweeter than other peas of its time, this old-time favorite continues to impress with its plump, dark green pods—each holding up to 9 large, tender peas. We especially love them fresh off the vine in the morning sun—a garden breakfast tradition passed down from childhood days spent in our grandparents’ garden. These sweet, high-quality peas are a delight tossed into salads, lightly steamed, or stirred in at the end of a fried rice or stir-fry for a burst of garden-fresh flavor. Harvest early and often, and blanch and freeze your extras to keep a taste of early summer in your icebox all year long. Seed Profile Organic Heirloom Open-Pollin
