About tabletop gaming & stickers brands
Tabletop terrain is one of the best value upgrades for a game night, and also one of the easiest places to overspend. Finished resin terrain and 3D printed tiles look great but add up quickly; foamboard terrain built from templates costs far less if you enjoy crafting and have the patience to cut, glue and paint.
GameGearMaster sells TERRAINO, a set of downloadable manuals, templates and textures for building click-together 3D dungeon terrain from foamboard and dollar-store supplies, compatible with 28mm games like D&D 5e and Pathfinder. You are buying instructions, not finished pieces.
We also list Voila Stickers, but when we researched it, voilastickers.com was a blog of sticker and label how-to guides with an affiliate disclosure, not a shop. It may be useful reading on printing, applying or removing labels, but you cannot order stickers there. For custom or decorative stickers, use a shop with a working catalog and published policies.
How to shop for tabletop terrain and stickers online
Decide how much you want to build. Terrain falls into three camps: ready-made (resin, plastic or pre-painted pieces), print-it-yourself STL files for 3D printers, and craft systems like foamboard templates. Ready-made is fastest and priciest. STL files are cheap per piece if you own a printer, but printing a full dungeon takes many hours. Foamboard systems are the cheapest per square foot and teach real crafting skills, but take time.
Foamboard terrain basics. You will need a sharp hobby knife with plenty of spare blades, a metal ruler, a cutting mat, a hot glue gun or PVA glue and paint. Dollar-store foamboard is usually 5mm thick; check the thickness a template expects, since a different thickness breaks the fit of click-together pieces. Seal foam with diluted PVA or a primer before painting, since solvent-based spray paints melt foam. Work in a ventilated space if you use spray products.
Scale and grid. Most fantasy roleplaying games use 28mm to 32mm miniatures on a 1-inch grid. Confirm that terrain matches your grid and miniature scale; tiles that are slightly off make movement counting awkward.
Modularity and storage. Modular systems let you reconfigure rooms for each session. Check how pieces connect (clips, magnets, slots) and how they store; large terrain needs boxes or shelves. Lightweight foam is easy to transport to game nights.
Digital downloads. Check file formats (PDF templates, printable textures), printer requirements (letter or A4 paper, color printing), and whether textures are licensed for personal use only. GameGearMaster delivers downloads instantly by link and email and refunds digital downloads within 14 days. Start with a core set and confirm you are comfortable with the tools before buying add-ons.
Physical orders. GameGearMaster ships physical items within 3 business days with free untracked US shipping over $40, and does not ship internationally. Physical returns must be unused within 14 days, with return shipping deducted from the refund, and physical goods have a 14-day defect warranty.
Stickers. For custom stickers, compare material (vinyl is waterproof and durable; paper is cheaper and indoor only), finish (matte, gloss, holographic), adhesive strength, UV resistance for outdoor use, and minimum order quantities. Ask for a digital proof before printing. Confirm a store has a live catalog, prices and return policy before uploading artwork or paying.
Budget tiers. Foamboard terrain manuals run about $5 to $100. A full DIY dungeon in materials often costs under $50. Ready-made resin terrain sets often run $100 or more.
Which brand fits which buyer
- Dungeon masters wanting 3D terrain on a tight budget: GameGearMaster, starting with the Essential Core download.
- Crafty players and parents looking for a building project with older kids: GameGearMaster.
- Groups playing D&D 5e, Pathfinder or other 28mm-scale games: GameGearMaster.
- Sticker shoppers: Voila Stickers is a how-to blog rather than a store, so order from a shop with a working catalog and published shipping and return terms.
