About Foxcreek Baskets

Foxcreek Baskets is a family-run woodworking business. Its about page describes the family as third-generation makers based in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and explains that it keeps prices down by buying mahogany cut-offs that would otherwise be discarded. Each basket is signed and dated. The product line has grown from organizational baskets into cutting boards, charcuterie boards, bow knives and full custom furniture.

What the catalog looks like

The store lists 414 products with a median price of $79.99. Baskets are the core (160 listings), followed by furniture (67), cutting boards, kitchen islands and a few candles. Prices span from about $13 to $5,500.

Baskets sit mostly between $45 and $80: the 8 inch Bohemian lazy Susan is $44.99, the shabby chic 13 inch lazy Susan (described as one of their best sellers) is $62.99, and the large Step Basket for stairs is $79.99. End grain cutting boards run about $105 to $165, such as the 2 inch thick Maple End Grain board at $119.99 or the Black Walnut End Grain board with a juice groove at $104.99. The Tennessee Mountain Bow Knife, a wooden-handled bread cutter, starts at $30, with longer brisket versions at $40 to $70. Furniture is where prices climb: the Small and Narrow Farmhouse Kitchen Island is $1,049.99, a walnut dining table is $1,699.99, and a large cherry-topped farmhouse island is $3,599.

What sets it apart

This is handmade work, not imported decor. Many boards combine exotic woods (Purple Heart, Wenge, Zebra Wood, Canary Wood) in end grain patterns, and several pieces use fractal burning (high-voltage wood burning) filled with blue epoxy, which the listings credit to a family member. Islands can include practical features like slide-out trash and recycling bins or an olive oil pull-out. Only 2 items are on sale, so prices are steady.

Returns, warranty and contact

The policies are the weak point. The refund policy says plainly that Foxcreek does not offer refunds, only exchanges within 30 days for unused items in original packaging. You pay return shipping, and if the exchange is approved, that cost is billed to you before the replacement ships. Custom tables, islands and bar stools can't be returned or exchanged. The about page adds a 20% restocking fee on returns, which doesn't match the exchange-only wording in the policy, so ask before buying. Baskets carry a limited lifetime warranty; other products are not covered.

No shipping policy text was available in our research, so delivery costs and times for large furniture are unknown until you ask. Contact is personal: two family cell numbers and a Gmail address, with returns mailed to an address in Danville, Alabama.
