Highlights
- 7 inner strands
- 4 mm diameter
- 5, 15 or 30 m lengths
- Camping and DIY bracelet use
Best for
A camper or crafter who wants an inexpensive cord for survival bracelets and gear lashing.
Things to consider
- The 550 name refers to a military specification for strength. The listing doesn't say it meets that spec, so don't rely on it for life-safety use.
- Tip: for strength-critical uses like climbing, buy rated rope. Use this for light tasks.
- Plan on roughly 7 to 21 days for it to reach a US address. Low-value parcels are no longer duty-free in the US, so the final total can be higher than the listed price. If it never arrives or is not as described, you open a dispute with AliExpress Buyer Protection.

A cheap cord for craft and camp use. Not for safety loads.

Frequently asked questions
Is it rated 550 lbs?
The title calls it 550, but there is no test claim. Treat it as general-purpose cord.
Can I use it for climbing?
No. Paracord is not rated climbing rope, so keep it away from any load that a person's safety depends on.
Can I return it or get a refund?
You buy through AliExpress, so a refund request goes through its Buyer Protection rather than the seller's own site. Some Choice items also offer free returns, so check the listing.
Is the 7-Strand 550 Paracord Rope on sale?
Yes. AliExpress lists it at $3.05, down from $6.08 (50% off). Sale prices change, so confirm the live price on aliexpress.com.
Is there a discount on the 7-Strand 550 Paracord Rope?
AliExpress publishes these ways to save: Coins in the app. AliExpress sets the terms, which can change; our AliExpress coupons page has the details.
What is AliExpress's return policy?
Eligible items can be returned within 90 days of payment, with the first return on each order free, according to AliExpress's 2024 US announcement. Return terms vary by seller and item, so check the product page. Custom, perishable and hygiene items are generally excluded.
How long does AliExpress take to ship?
AliExpress's 2024 US guarantee listed Choice orders at 5 to 12 days and standard orders at 8 to 14 days, but real-world standard shipping from China often runs longer. Items marked Ship from United States come from local stock. Free shipping on Choice orders depends on a minimum order shown at checkout.
Does the 7-Strand 550 Paracord Rope come with a warranty?
AliExpress's published warranty terms: AliExpress does not publish a marketplace-wide product warranty. Coverage depends on the individual seller, and Buyer Protection covers non-delivery, damage and not-as-described claims instead.
