Highlights

  • Silicone surface that resists soldering heat, per the title
  • Described as ESD antistatic
  • Designed for motherboard and phone repair
  • Priced at $3.09

Best for

Bench repairers who want a heat-safe, non-slip place to work on phones and small boards.

Things to consider

  • The title does not give mat dimensions or a heat rating, so check the size options and temperature claims before ordering
  • ESD claims on cheap mats are rarely backed by certified resistance values, so a wrist strap is still wise for sensitive parts
  • A rolled silicone mat travels easily and is usually delivered in one to three weeks, with AliExpress disputes available for a bad batch

Our take

A useful low-cost mat for light repair work. Do not treat the ESD claim as proof of safety.

Buying from AliExpress

AliExpress is a legitimate marketplace that is worth using for cheap, low-risk things like cables, tools, cleaning supplies and small home items, as long as you can wait and you buy from well-rated sellers. Skip it for anything safety-critical, brand-name or urgent. Check the seller's feedback score, the delivery estimate and the import-charge line at checkout before you pay.

Shipping
AliExpress's 2024 US guarantee listed Choice orders at 5 to 12 days and standard orders at 8 to 14 days, but real-world standard shipping from China often runs longer. Items marked Ship from United States come from local stock. Free shipping on Choice orders depends on a minimum order shown at checkout.
Returns
Eligible items can be returned within 90 days of payment, with the first return on each order free, according to AliExpress's 2024 US announcement. Return terms vary by seller and item, so check the product page. Custom, perishable and hygiene items are generally excluded.
Warranty
AliExpress does not publish a marketplace-wide product warranty. Coverage depends on the individual seller, and Buyer Protection covers non-delivery, damage and not-as-described claims instead.
Payment
US shoppers can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Instalment options such as Klarna and PayPal Pay Later appear on some orders, and availability varies.
International
AliExpress sells to shoppers worldwide. For US orders, import duties on low-value parcels have applied since the duty-free exemption ended in 2025, and state sales tax is added at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

What size mat should I get?
Check the size options on the listing and compare them to your bench. A mat just larger than a phone with room for tools is more useful than a tiny one that tools slide off.
Is the antistatic claim reliable?
Treat it as a bonus, not a certification. If you work on sensitive chips, ground yourself with a wrist strap and keep the mat from touching hot irons for long.
Will the mat survive a soldering iron?
Silicone handles brief contact with heat better than plastic, but the title gives no temperature limit. Avoid holding the iron tip on the mat, and use a stand.
How long will it take to arrive in the US?
Silicone mats pack flat, so expect delivery in about one to three weeks, quicker with Choice or Ship from United States items. Use the tracking number on your order, and ask for a refund under Buyer Protection if it fails to arrive. Small import fees may appear at checkout.
Is the ESD Antistatic Silicone Soldering Work Mat on sale?
