Highlights
- 4.4 gallon bucket made from 75% post-consumer recycled material
- Airtight lid, draining sieve, presser, dosage container, drain cup, and spigot
- Free 1 lb bag of Premium Bokashi compost starter
- Handles meat, dairy, and small bones that regular compost often cannot
- Black or light grey; 1 or 2 buckets
Best for
Apartment dwellers and year-round composters who want to process all kitchen scraps indoors.
Things to consider
- Bokashi ferments scraps rather than finishing compost; you still need to bury the output or add it to a pile.
- You will need to keep buying bran, and drain the liquid regularly.
- Two buckets let one ferment while you fill the other, which is why the 2-pack is popular for this method.
