About Cycle Peak

Cycle Peak is an online cycling apparel and accessories store. Its about page describes a small crew of riders who say they personally test and hand-pick every product on real road and gravel rides. We can't verify those testing claims, and the store lists no business address or phone number, so judge it on its prices and policies. ### What the catalog looks like

The store lists 629 products with a median price of $62.04, from about $11 to $379. Jerseys are the most visible category, with dozens of graphic designs at $44.79 each: flag designs like the USA Jersey and Belgian Jersey, humor designs like the Beers, Veteran and Evolution jerseys, and bold patterns like Hexa, Rainbow and Ignite. Padded bottoms include the Stratos 3D Padded Cycling Shorts at $67.79, the baggy-style Ridgeline 3D Padded MTB Shorts at $79.29 and the Premio Women Pro Bib Shorts at $87.34. Half-finger gloves run about $19 to $38, helmets like the Talon Trail and Gravex Air are $79.29, and there's a sizable winter range, such as the Impera Thermal Pants at $79.29 and women's thermal bib pants around $111 to $114. ### The sale question

Of 629 products, 612 show a sale price. Many winter items list a compare-at price roughly double the current price (the Norell Professional Pants show $110.34, down from $221.89). When nearly everything is always discounted, the "was" price tells you little. Compare the current price with similar gear elsewhere rather than trusting the markdown. ### What to check before you buy

Helmet listings describe EPS foam and ventilation, but the descriptions we saw didn't clearly state a safety certification. If you're in the US, look for a CPSC certification label or statement before buying a helmet. For apparel, sizing on cycling gear runs snug, so read the size chart on each listing. ### Shipping and returns

Shipping is free on all orders, worldwide. Processing takes 1 to 4 business days, and the shipping policy quotes 5 to 12 business days for delivery (the FAQ says 5 to 7). Items in one order can arrive separately from different warehouses, each with its own tracking number. You can cancel or change an order within 12 hours. The two pages also disagree on the Friday cutoff time zone (Central versus Eastern). Returns are accepted within 30 calendar days of delivery of the last item in the order. You may try items on indoors, but anything worn outdoors, ridden in, washed or altered doesn't qualify for a change-of-mind return, and the refund can be reduced for extra handling. Start the return in your account before sending anything, so you get the correct return address. The policy text we reviewed doesn't say who pays return shipping.
