Nikola Toy review 2026

Nikola Toy suits adult collectors and gift shoppers who want unusual metal desk toys, RC tanks or working engine model kits, and shipping is free worldwide. Skip it if you want an easy return: personal-reason returns are at your cost and the store does not publish a warranty. Check the listing for specs and size before ordering, since many product pages carry little description.

About Nikola Toy

Nikola Toy (styled NIKOLATOY on its site) sells gadget toys aimed mostly at grown-ups: machined metal fidget toys, magnetic slingshots and folding bows, RC military tanks, transforming mecha figures, desk physics toys and assembled engine model kits. The store lists 493 products and draws an estimated 223,000 visits a month.

What the catalog looks like

The median price is $59.90, which tells you this is not a cheap novelty shop. Small items start around $20: replacement magnetic slingshot bands are $18.90 and a pack of 8mm steel ball ammo is $19.90. Desk toys like the Metal Anti-Gravity Gyroscope ($35.90) and the Creative Black Hole Night Light ($49.90) sit in the middle. RC tanks run from a 1/30 scale model at $59.90 up to 1/16 scale German Tiger I and Panzer IV tanks around $349 to $359, with a Full Metal Tiger I at $2,499. The Mini Dual-Cylinder Internal Combustion Engine DIY kit is $369. At the extreme end there are display pieces like a 1:1 Iron Man Mark 7 light-up sculpture at $3,099.

Discounts are constant. About 290 of 493 items show a sale price, usually 20% to 40% under the listed compare-at price. Treat those compare-at numbers as a reference, not proof of a bargain.

What sets it apart

The draw is variety you will not find in one place elsewhere: titanium and machined fidget pieces such as the Rattlesnake Sword line and the Mystery Can blind boxes, next to working engine models and hobby-grade RC tanks. Several items are based on film and comic characters (Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Homelander, Minions). The listings we saw don't say whether those are officially licensed, so check before buying one as a collectible.

Many product pages in the data had no written description, so specs like materials, scale details or battery type may be thin. Slingshots, compound bows and the fishing slingshot are sporting projectiles, so check local rules before ordering them.

Shipping, returns and support

Standard shipping is free worldwide and quoted at 7 to 15 business days, with paid DHL Express at 2 to 5 business days. Some items ship from a US warehouse in 2 to 5 days, and orders take 1 to 2 business days to process. You can cancel within 5 hours of ordering for a full refund; after shipping, you must accept delivery and then return the item, paying return shipping and any duties yourself if it is a change of mind. EU buyers get the standard 14-day withdrawal right. The captured policy text does not list a general return window for US buyers or any warranty terms.

The contact page lists a Boulder, Colorado address, service@nikolatoy.com, a US WhatsApp number and a China phone number, and notes support hours of 12:00 to 20:00 in UTC+8, so expect replies on an overseas schedule.

What stands out

  • Free worldwide standard shipping. No minimum is stated for the free option.
  • Unusual mix. Metal fidgets, RC tanks, mecha figures and engine kits share one store.
  • Engine model kits. The Mini Dual-Cylinder Internal Combustion Engine kit is a buildable working-model style piece at $369.
  • Welcome code. The store has a public code, Welcome, to try at checkout.
