Highlights
- 1.5 m roll length
- Widths from 1 mm to 4 mm
- Flux-coated, per the title
- Around $2.50
Best for
Electronics hobbyists removing solder from pads and joints.
Things to consider
- Pick a width close to the pad or joint: too narrow is slow, too wide dumps heat.
- Cheap braid quality varies, so some rolls wick better than others; a quick test on a scrap board tells you whether the copper wicks cleanly.
- Transit time to the US is generally one to three weeks, and since the US duty exemption on small parcels ended, check the checkout total for import charges.

Our take
A cheap and handy desoldering aid. Match the width to the pad and add flux if it wicks slowly.

Frequently asked questions
What width should I choose?
Match the pad or joint width, usually 2 mm to 3 mm for general work.

Is braid better than a desoldering pump?
Braid is cleaner on pads, while a pump handles bigger joints.
