Highlights
- Strong magnetic base
- Flexible arms
- Alligator clips for PCBs
- For electronics repair and soldering
Best for
Electronics hobbyists who need a hands-free helper at a bench.
Things to consider
- Clip strength and arm stiffness are not described, so heavy boards could droop; check reviews and photos.
- A magnetic base only sticks to ferrous surfaces, so it won't hold on a wood or aluminum bench without a steel plate.
- The title doesn't state whether a magnifier is included.
- Delivery to the US typically takes one to three weeks; the checkout page shows an estimated date for each shipping option. Import duties may be added to the total or collected at delivery. Nothing on the listing promises a specific amount.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on a wooden desk?
Not by itself. A magnetic base needs a steel surface.
Does it include a magnifying glass?
Not stated. Check the listing images.
Is it worth the price?
At about $1.51 it is a low-risk buy, though don't expect heavy-duty clamping.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
Customs charges can show up as their own line at checkout, so compare the final total, not just the item price. A lost, damaged or wrong item is handled by filing a dispute on the AliExpress order page, so keep photos of any damage.
Is the Magnetic Base Soldering Third Hand on sale?
Yes. AliExpress lists it at $1.51, down from $3.01 (50% off). Sale prices change, so confirm the live price on aliexpress.com.
Is there a discount on the Magnetic Base Soldering Third Hand?
AliExpress publishes these ways to save: Coins in the app. AliExpress sets the terms, which can change; our AliExpress coupons page has the details.
What is AliExpress's return policy?
Eligible items can be returned within 90 days of payment, with the first return on each order free, according to AliExpress's 2024 US announcement. Return terms vary by seller and item, so check the product page. Custom, perishable and hygiene items are generally excluded.
How long does AliExpress take to ship?
AliExpress's 2024 US guarantee listed Choice orders at 5 to 12 days and standard orders at 8 to 14 days, but real-world standard shipping from China often runs longer. Items marked Ship from United States come from local stock. Free shipping on Choice orders depends on a minimum order shown at checkout.
Does the Magnetic Base Soldering Third Hand come with a warranty?
AliExpress's published warranty terms: AliExpress does not publish a marketplace-wide product warranty. Coverage depends on the individual seller, and Buyer Protection covers non-delivery, damage and not-as-described claims instead.

Is AliExpress a legit store?
AliExpress is a legitimate marketplace that is worth using for cheap, low-risk things like cables, tools, cleaning supplies and small home items, as long as you can wait and you buy from well-rated sellers.
