Our research

Roomtery review 2026

Roomtery is a strong pick for teens, college students and renters who want trend-driven decor (cottagecore bedding, novelty rugs, kawaii night lights) at small-ticket prices. Skip it if you need something in days, since US delivery is estimated at 8 to 14 days after a 2 to 5 day processing window. Check the non-returnable list before buying rugs, wall prints or sale items.

About Roomtery

Roomtery sells decor built around internet room aesthetics: cottagecore, soft girl, dark academia, kawaii, indie and gamer setups. The site leans into this with an aesthetic quiz and small-bedroom makeover ideas, and the product copy is written for people styling a dorm, bedroom or first apartment rather than a whole house. ### Catalog and prices

This is a big catalog for a niche store: 1,241 products, with a median price of $23.99 and a range from $5.99 to $279.99. Bedding sets are the largest category (170), followed by posters, tapestries, wall decor, rugs, vases, stickers, cushion covers, desk accessories and neon signs. Small items make up much of the appeal. The Iridescent Wavy Blob Mirror is $14.99, the Pixel Potion Bottle Touch Night Light is $14.99, and the Kawaii Axolotl Silicone Night Light is $29.99. Novelty tufted rugs like the Digital Watch Tufted Rug ($39.99) and Black Cat Tufted Rug ($29.99) are a signature category. Bedding is the bigger spend: most sets, such as the Juicy Cherry Aesthetic Bedding Set and Dark Academia Ditsy Floral set, are $87.99, and the Simple Pastel Striped Bedding Set is $99.99. Bedding listings name the fabric, for example 100% polyester on the Sage Forest Kitty set. Only 128 items are on sale, so most prices are regular prices rather than inflated markdowns. A few neon sign listings show a compare-at price lower than the selling price, which looks like a data error, so ignore those reference prices. ### How it compares

You can find similar trend pieces on big marketplaces, but Roomtery curates them by aesthetic, so it is quicker to build a matching room. Prices sit in the same range as mass-market decor sites. The tradeoff is speed: this is not a two-day shipping store. ### Shipping and returns

Orders ship within 2 to 5 business days. Estimated delivery is 8 to 14 days to the US, 9 to 15 to Europe, 10 to 17 to Australia and Canada, and up to 20 days elsewhere. Standard shipping is free to the US, Canada, Australia and the EU, and all shipments are tracked. Items in one order may arrive in separate packages. Returns are allowed within 30 days for unused items in original condition, with no restocking fee. You pay return shipping, and returns go to one of their European warehouses, which can make sending something back from the US expensive. Several categories can't be returned at all: sale items, comforters, duvets, quilts and insert pillows, wall prints, select tapestries and canvas art, furniture, area rugs and gift cards. Refunds are processed within 3 days of the return being received.

What stands out

  • Aesthetic-first curation. Products are grouped by room style, backed by a viral aesthetic quiz.
  • Novelty tufted rugs. Watch, cash stack, black cat and sardine tin designs from $19.99.
  • Free shipping in four regions. Standard shipping is free to the US, Canada, Australia and the EU.
  • No restocking fee. Eligible returns within 30 days carry no restocking charge.
